Over-weight shipments, over-dimensional shipments, or specialized shipments are commonly referred to as "heavy haul trucking", and demands extreme attention to detail. We carefully take into account each dimension, overall weight, the route, and applicable state laws. In many instances, a shipment may be too tall or too heavy for a particular route. Hence, although the shortest point between the origin and destination may be an "obvious" route, we make sure that the quote route has been researched and is compatible with the freight being moved. Often, this will require special permits for each state, sometimes even county permits, and pilot car / escort service.
